First of all, a conversation. As in any dialogue, there is always something that is lost from what is communicated. In a dialogic type of conversation, the search is not for a single discourse, but rather for a common ground where possible exchanges can occur. In this intervention, Mexa and GRUA try, in a sequence shot, to establish a conversation between word and movement.

Conversa pra Boy Dormir (Cock-and-bull story) is, also, a letter. A love letter, a song, a fiction, an action permeated by absence and by the transience of encounters. There is something that always gets lost… But how can you talk in another language? And yet not ceasing to be a conversation? How can you relate the singularities during the speaking-listening-silencing continuum?

The groups held three weeks of residencies in which artists from each of the collectives met on stage and decided, live, their actions. From this contact, bridges were created and distances perceived.
In this intervention, they are available for one more meeting. Using their own languages (dance and performance), the groups ask themselves how they were crossed, what affections they share, what they still don’t understand and how they can now talk to each other.
