The duo proposes a methodological sharing of the project Para uma Timeline a Haver [For a Timeline to Exist]- Genealogies of Dance As an Artistic Practice, seeking to start articulating the dance in the 90s in Portugal and Brazil from a crossed and comparative point of view, to locate relations, synergies, and aesthetic movements.

The participants are then invited to bring a document that they want to share with the group to the workshop (an excerpt of a show critique, testimony, a video, material for a show, a clipping regarding a remarkable event), under the condition of it being associated to a particulate date ranging from 1985 to 2005 in Brazil. The document can be regarding an artistic, cultural, social, or political event, as long as its relation with the body, dance, or corporeality relation is clear.

The project is a joint exercise of signaling milestones related to the development and dissemination of the choreography practice in Portugal in the XX and XXI centuries. Carried out interruptedly since 2016, and assuming the present as a place for enunciation, each edition of this timeline is a new exhibit with mutations, physical and methodological reconfigurations. It combines bibliographical sources to the listening of testimonies, collection of original documents with iconographic research, drawing of narratives and relations, seeking to create multiple places for the understanding of what the dance is or can be, and proposing a familiarity with the works, authors, “models,” corporalities, and world views.
